Daniel Sparks
About
Daniel is a native of Northeast Mississippi and currently divides his time between Oxford, Mississippi and his hometown of Belmont, Mississippi. His office is located on Oxford’s historic downtown square in the Duvall’s Building located at 103-A Courthouse Square. Daniel has practiced throughout Mississippi in the Municipal, Chancery, Justice, Circuit, and Federal Courts of the State.
Daniel opened Sparks Law Firm, PLLC in 2009 and has maintained his practice throughout North Mississippi focusing on the areas of business and corporate law, civil litigation, probate and estate work, and criminal law. His background in Accounting, Taxation, and Economics, as well as work experience outside of the legal world helps Daniel relate to and understand his client’s needs. Our goal is to help clients navigate the difficult waters of the legal world and find resolutions that help them get back to focusing on their businesses and their lives.
Education
Upon graduation from Belmont High School, Daniel attended Northeast Mississippi Community College in Booneville, Mississippi. After a period of time working in Northeast Mississippi, Daniel enrolled at Ole Miss in 2001 obtaining a double major in Accountancy and Economics. Continuing his education in Oxford, Daniel earned his Masters in Taxation in 2005 and in 2008 he received a Juris Doctorate from the University of Mississippi School of Law.
University Activity
Over the past decade, Daniel has served as a fraternity advisor on the campus of the University of Mississippi and currently teaches business law as an adjunct professor. He understands the challenges that the students encounter and appreciates parents’ concern about problems their children face away from home. The complex maze of the University’s judicial process coupled with a journey through the criminal court system can be a daunting proposition which we are prepared to help you navigate.
